I started this project many years ago. It comes as a result of my many years in the music industry, first as a player in bands playing in night clubs and then moving to the business side working with record producers and artist managers of some very famous recording artists like Cat Stevens, Missing Persons, Kansas, Supertramp, and Devo to name a few. Most of the events I take from real issues. Some that happened to me personally others that I have heard about in the course of my career in the business. Many of the characters are a composite of a number of characters that I knew or encountered over the years. It also shows the band's struggle, lessons, and what it takes to be successful in the music business, including what a band must do to become successful as well as all the people involved in making a band successful. It was, if nothing else, a very good experience for me personally and emotionally to write about it. It developed into the beginnings of a novel, but alas the business of living just seemed to get in the way. My original idea was to create a novel about a band from the early 70s, which would coincide with a real album release, real tour, and perhaps TV or movie. It would chronicle the band's rise to stardom etc. A cross or multi-media type of project.
